The name Enkare Wild comes from the Maasai word Enkare, meaning water, the source of all life. With water at the heart of everything we do, our philosophy is simple: The Quest for Life.

For more than seventy years, the Russell family has been deeply rooted in East African tourism and conservation, guiding safaris, managing lodges, and curating expeditions through some of the continent’s most extraordinary wilderness areas. That legacy brought knowledge, craftsmanship, and respect for wild places — values that define our work today.
